PRAGUE, Jan. 14 (Xinhua) -- Czech Prime Minister Andrej Babis met with Singaporean President Halimah Yacob and Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong on Monday in Singapore, discussing cooperation in trade and other areas including science and education, according to the Czech government official website on Monday.
Babis is on a week-long tour to Asian countries with Singapore as the first stop. He left Prague on Sunday and will also visit Thailand and India later this week.
Accompanying the prime minister is a delegation including representatives of 42 Czech companies, local media said.
Babis said he can see a potential in Asia for the Czech Republic to diversify its exports, citing that more of the Czech exports should go outside the European Union.
