BUDAPEST, Jan. 25 (Xinhua) -- The special zodiac stamp issued by the Hungarian State Post in the honor of the Chinese Year of the Pig 2019 was presented to the public in the Millennium Park of downtown Budapest here on Friday in the frame of the opening ceremony of a three-day-long Chinese Spring Festival celebration.
"I would like to especially express my sincere gratitude to the Hungarian State Post Office for designing and releasing the traditional Chinese 12 Zodiac stamps, making more Hungarian people interested in the Chinese Zodiac culture," the Chinese ambassador to Hungary, Duan Jielong said on the occasion.
"Today, we have the chance to witness the stamp for the Year of Pig in 2019 and the First Day Cover (FDC) issued by the General Post Office," he added.
It is the sixth edition of a Hungarian stamp commemorating the Chinese New Year since the first was issued in 2014, the Year of Horse.
On the red stamp, a chubby pig can be seen covered in flower motives, under the sign saying: Year of Pig 2019.
