JAKARTA, Jan. 26 (Xinhua) -- Japanese Misaki Matsumoto/Ayaka Takahashi beat Indonesian Greysa Polii/Apriyani Rahayu to make the women's doubles final in the 2019 Indonesia Masters badminton championship here on Saturday.
The 2016 Rio Olympics and 2018 Asian Games winners spent one hour and 21 minutes to win the semifinal 22-20, 20-22 and 21-12.
"We are disappointed with the results. We actually managed to lead the points in the first game, but we failed to secure the momentum," Greysa said after the match was held in Jakarta's landmark badminton arena of Istora Senayan.
The Indonesian pair finished second in the Malaysia Masters last week.
In the final for Sunday, the No. 2 pair would take on South Korean Kim So Yeong/Kong Hee Yong who beat Mayu Matsumoto/Wakana Nagahara of Japan 13-21, 22-20 and 21-16.
