RIO DE JANEIRO, Feb. 13 (Xinhua) -- Libertad advanced to the final Copa Libertadores qualifying stage on Wednesday after a 5-1 home victory over The Strongest.
The result gave the Paraguayan outfit a 6-2 victory on aggregate following the teams' 1-1 draw in last week's first leg in Bolivian capital La Paz.
Argentine striker Adrian Martinez netted a hat-trick for Libertad while Oscar Cardozo and Ayrton Cougo were also on the scoresheet at the Nicolas Leoz Stadium in Asuncion.
Meanwhile Caracas FC progressed to the next phase on away goals after holding Delfin SC to a goalless draw in the Venezuelan capital. The teams drew 1-1 in last week's first leg in Ecuador.
Argentina's Talleres Cordoba also kept alive their hopes of a berth in the group stage by overcoming three-time champions Sao Paulo on the away goals rule. Wednesday's goalless draw in Brazil followed a 2-0 win for Talleres in the first leg in Argentina.
In Wednesday's other qualifier, Melgar drew 0-0 at Universidad de Chile and advanced by virtue of a 1-0 win in Peru last week.
