TEHRAN, Feb. 24 (Xinhua) -- Iran's men's basketball team booked a spot at the 2019 FIBA World Cup in China with a win over Australia on Sunday.
Iran defeated the Boomers 85-74 in Tehran's Azadi Hall, with Behnam Yakhchali scoring a game-high 21 points. Mitch Creek was Australia's top scorer with 20 points.
Iran had lost to Australia 76-49 in Melbourne in November.
The 2019 FIBA Basketball World Cup will be the 18th running of the tournament.
