ZHENGZHOU, March 1 (Xinhua) -- Brazilian Henrique Dourado, top goalscorer of Brazil's Serie A in 2017, has signed a contract with Henan Jianye, the Chinese Super League (CSL) club announced on Friday.
The 29-year-old striker played for Fluminense from 2016 to 2017, before moving to Flamengo in 2018 where he scored 15 goals in 46 matches.
"I'm very happy to play in China, which has been my dream for a long time. Thanks to everyone who helped me to reach China, and I'll try my best to fight for Henan Jianye with my coaches and colleagues," Dourado said.
In addition to Dourado, Cameroon striker Franck Ohandza will also join up with Jianye for the upcoming season. The 27-year-old scored 18 goals to help Shenzhen FC win promotion to the CSL last season, before becoming a free agent.
"To secure a 12th place finish in the CSL as we did last season is the top priority of Henan Jianye in 2019, and it would be better if we can finish in the top ten," club manager Guo Guangqi said on Friday.
