ABU DHABI, March 7 (Xinhua) -- The United Arab Emirates (UAE) Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan received a phone call from U.S. President Donald Trump.
During the phone call with the U.S. president, the two sides discussed cooperation between the two countries and means to boost it, said a report by the Emirates News Agency said.
They also discussed a number of political and economic issues of mutual concern, it said.
"The two officials also tackled recent developments in the regional and international arenas and means to boost the cooperation between them in handling those issues that pose a threat to regional peace and stability," it added.
The crown prince also met visiting Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov and his accompanying delegation.
They discussed means to boost cooperation between the two countries.
The UAE and Russian officials discussed issues of mutual concern in the Middle East region.
