BUENOS AIRES, March 7 (Xinhua) -- A first-half goal from former Brazil international midfielder Rodriguinho gave Cruzeiro a 1-0 victory at Huracan in their opening Copa Libertadores group match here on Thursday.
The 30-year-old latched onto a lofted Robinho Signorini pass before firing a low shot past Paraguayan goalkeeper Antony Silva at Huracan's El Palacio stadium in Argentine capital Buenos Aires.
The Brazilian side defended resolutely thereafter to move to the top of Group B in South America's premier club competition.
Meanwhile, Ecuador's LDU Quito scored either side of halftime to secure a 2-0 home victory over Penarol of Uruguay.
