JAKARTA, March 8 (Xinhua) -- Indonesia has sent 68 athletes to compete in the 2019 Special Olympics World Summer Games to be held later this month in Abu Dhabi, hoping to secure 10 medals, an official said here on Friday.
During the Games slated for March 14-21, the Indonesian athletes will take part in 11 sports including athletics, badminton, futsal, bowling, handball, swimming, table tennis, volleyball and basketball, according to Mustara Musa, deputy chairman of Indonesian contingent.
"The athletes will struggle to create best achievements for their country, Indonesia," he said, adding that Indonesia has a target of 10 medals.
In the 2015 Special Olympics in Los Angeles, Indonesia secured 15 gold medals, according to Indonesian youth and sport ministry.
