MINSK, March 20 (Xinhua) -- Belarus-China car maker BelGee planned to start the production of executive-class sedans, BelGee Acting Director General Gennady Svidersky told local media on Wednesday.
The official said the plant is working on new modifications of cars. It will be the executive-class sedan, the car of the new generation Geely Emgrand GT, he added.
Svidersky said the company plans to produce the first 100 cars and study the demand in the second half of 2019.
The joint venture has already produced a total of 11,200 cars of three models, including Geely Atlas, Geely Emgrand X7 and Geely Emgrand 7.
More than half of the cars were exported to Russia, where 50 dealer centers have been opened.
Svidersky said the company plans to export cars to Lithuania, Ukraine, Poland, Moldova and Serbia.
The plant plans to produce 20,000 cars in 2019, he added.
