JAKARTA, March 28 (Xinhua) -- Indonesian Karate Association will give more opportunity to senior athletes to compete in the forthcoming SEA Games in the Philippines later this year, the association secretary Sapta Ervian said here on Thursday.
He said the association will always send senior athletes to prestigious international multi-sport event, saying "it is certain that we put priority on SEA Games, Asian Games and Olympic Games."
For junior athletes, they have had special tournaments to show their capabilities, the secretary said, adding that they would also consider the participation of junior athletes in the SEA Games.
Earlier, Indonesian Youth and Sport Ministry said that more junior athletes would be sent to the SEA Games, to be held in the Philippines from November 30 to December 11.
