SRINAGAR, Indian-controlled Kashmir, April 2 (Xinhua) -- Troops of India and Pakistan Tuesday exchanged heavy fire and targeted each other's positions along the Line of Control (LoC), which divides Kashmir, officials said.
The two sides exchanged fire in frontier Rajouri district, 222 km southwest of Srinagar, the summer capital of Indian-controlled Kashmir.
Earlier in the day, a similar exchange broke out in Shahpur sector of Poonch.
According to Indian officials, so far no loss of life has been reported in the skirmishes on the Indian side but on the Pakistani side, three troops were killed.
