TUNIS, April 2 (Xinhua) -- The final statement of the eighth edition of the Sino-Arab Business Forum and the Sixth Session of the Investment Conference were released on Tuesday in Tunisia's capital Tunis, calling for boosting bilateral cooperation in various fields.
The two parties agreed on the need to strengthen cooperation on digital technologies, artificial intelligence and e-commerce to promote exchanges of research institutions and to build capacities to face the challenges of the Fouth Industrial Revolution, according to the statement.
The statement also called for supporting financial institutions that meet the requirements of both sides to mutually open branches, and encouraged institutions to cooperate within the framework of the Asian Infrastructure Investment Bank.
It also called for strengthening cooperation in agricultural and industrial sectors.
Notably, the statement highlighted the importance of exchanging trade information, experience as well as training and technical support.
The final statement included agreements to support cooperation in several areas including education, innovation as well as health and medical technology. Enditem
