HOHHOT, April 11 (Xinhua) -- Authorities in northern China's Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region will assign technical guides to poverty-stricken areas to assist local poverty-relief industries.
According to the regional department of agriculture and husbandry, one to two such guides will be allocated to the villages where poverty-relief industries converge.
The guides will help with implementing policies in specific households, according to the department.
So far, the regional authorities have built a team of 8,175 technical guides and a team of 95 experts for "targeted poverty alleviation," the department said.
The guides will help poor residents learn about skills needed for production, while also handing out materials to spread knowledge about agriculture and husbandry. Training will also be held to help the farmers and herdsmen learn skills.
China has set 2020 as its target to finish building a moderately prosperous society in all respects and completely eradicate poverty.
