BEIRUT, April 15 (Xinhua) -- Lebanon's Health Minister Jamil Jabak received on Monday a donation of pharmaceutical drugs from the Brazilian embassy in Lebanon, local media reported.
"This donation reflects the efforts exerted by Brazil to boost its ties with Arab countries including Lebanon," Brazilian Ambassador to Lebanon Paulo Cordeiro de Andrade Pinto was quoted as saying by the National News Agency.
The ambassador said that this donation is a small contribution to the efforts made by Lebanon in cooperation with the United Nations' agencies to support Syrian refugees and Lebanon's host communities.
Brazil will continue to support Lebanon, he added.
Meanwhile, Jabak said that he is keen to cooperate with Brazil and to build good ties with international organizations and the international community in a bid to improve the level of the health sector in Lebanon.
