WASHINGTON, April 16 (Xinhua) -- The University of Pennsylvania (UPenn) in the city of Philadelphia will hold the 2019 Penn Wharton China Summit on April 19-21.
The annual summit, themed "Paving the Global Road", will consist of keynote addresses, panel discussions, and a startup pitch competition.
There will be six industry-specific panels, focusing on international relations, technology, social responsibility, and arts and entertainment, among other topics.
The three-day event will welcome 35 speakers, including Chinese Consul General in New York Huang Ping, former U.S. Ambassador to China Max Baucus, and Dean of the UPenn's Wharton School Geoffrey Garrett.
The summit intends to gather students, professionals, and entrepreneurs from both countries to discuss China's social and economic development and its interactions with the United States and the rest of the world, the organizers said.
