GABORONE, April 20 (Xinhua) -- Attending the 2019 Belt and Road for International Cooperation (BRF) will provide Botswana with a chance to strengthen trust and cooperation with China, a senior official said Saturday.
"China and other forum parties, Botswana included, will be taking stock of what has been achieved and draw a blueprint to further enrich cooperation on the initiative," Kabelo Ebineng, permanent secretary in Botswana ministry of transport and communications, spoke to the media in the capital city of Gaborone before setting off to Beijing.
The African country will be represented by its Transport and Communications Minister Dorcas Makgato at the second BRF slated for April 25-27 in Beijing.
"Our friendship is beneficial to both of us," he said.
Ebineng said that cooperation on the Belt and Road Initiative is an action focused on inventiveness that delivers noticeable outcomes, and that the contributing parties would cultivate multi-tiered collaboration with more real results of higher quality.
