VIENTIANE, April 23 (Xinhua) -- The World Book Day was observed in the Laos-China Culture Center on Tuesday in the Lao capital of Vientiane.
The event was co-organized by China's Shandong Province Library and Chinese Language Department of National University of Laos' (NUOL) Letters Faculty, with attendance of over 100 teachers and students from the university.
At the event, Chai Yun, a Chinese expert with the Laos-China Culture Center majoring in library science, delivered a lecture on "Common methods to obtain Chinese electronic documents."
The lecture introduced the search tools commonly used in Chinese literature resources and literature research methods to help Lao students access Chinese materials effectively, since there is a serious shortage of paper Chinese literature in Laos.
The NUOL Chinese Language Department also attentively prepared a Chinese tourism resources show for the Visit China-Laos Year 2019.
Last year, the Laos-China Culture Center held its first observation event themed "Chinese New Year in My View."
