BEIJING, April 24 (Xinhua) -- AFROriental Art Expo, featuring a collection of 52 paintings and sculptures by Zambian contemporary artists, has been unveiled in Beijing, according to the China Culture Daily.
The expo is organized as part of the Zambia-China Culture Year and a tribute to the 55th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between the two countries.
"The meticulously selected artwork represents the highest level of contemporary art in Zambia, and will facilitate people of Zambia and China to better understand each other," said Wang Xiaofeng, an official with the Ministry of Culture and Tourism, at the opening ceremony.
The expo is open to the public at an exhibition hall of China Millennium Monument from April 22 to May 5.
