BEIJING, April 29 (Xinhua) -- The People's Bank of China (PBOC) and the Central Bank of Uruguay on Monday signed a memorandum of understanding to enhance financial exchanges and cooperation.
Yi Gang, governor of PBOC, the central bank, met with Uruguayan Foreign Minister Rodolfo Nin Novoa who was in Beijing to attend the Second Belt and Road Forum for International Cooperation, exchanging views on boosting bilateral financial exchange and cooperation and jointly signing the memorandum, according to a PBOC statement.
The second Belt and Road Forum for International Cooperation was held in Beijing from April 25 to 27.
