PARIS, May 6 (Xinhua) -- French Ligue 1 champions Paris Saint-Germain announced on Monday that their first team will travel to Shenzhen, Macao and Suzhou as part of their pre-season tour from July 23 to August 3 in preparation for the 2019-20 season.
The tour's curtain raiser will take place at the Macao Olympic Sports Center between Paris Saint-Germain and Serie A side Inter Milan on July 27. The Parisians will face La Liga outfit Espanyol, where China's Wu Lei is currently playing, at the Suzhou Olympic Sports Center on July 30.
After celebrating their French Super Cup crown in 2018, PSG will return to Shenzhen for their clash with French Cup winners Rennes on August 3.
"We are excited to build upon the success of our Asia Tour last year and the launch of our Asia-Pacific office with the announcement of our tour in China this summer," said Sebastien Wasels, PSG's Managing Director Asia-Pacific.
"All the team are very enthusiastic to come back to China. This will be the third time for the club, following two successful campaigns in 2014 and 2018. Passion for football is more intense than ever in China and we want to continue to build strong ties with the local fans," declared Maxwell Scherrer, PSG's First Team Sporting Coordinator.
