NAIROBI, May 10 (Xinhua) -- Kenya will pitch a camp in South Africa ahead of the World Rugby Under 20 Trophy that starts from July 9-21 in Sao Jose dos Campos, Brazil.
The Africa champions will play two friendly matches against their hosts.
Kenya are in Pool A alongside with Japan and Uruguay.
"We will travel to South Africa at the end of June to play a friendly match against a team in South Africa," said team manager Jimmy Mnene.
It will be the second time Kenya play at this high level of competition in age group contest after their debut in Nairobi back in 2005.
Kenya beat Tunisia, Namibia and Senegal to qualify for the World Rugby Under 20 Trophy. Kenya's team departs on June 4 for the competition which will run from June 9-21 in Brazil.
