HAIKOU, May 15 (Xinhua) -- A rural tourism festival will be held in the southern island province of Hainan.

The festival will be held in Ledong Li Autonomous County. Ten major activities, including an opening ceremony and a leisure agriculture forum, will be held, according to the organizer. It will also usher in a "tropical rural tourism month."

The festival has been held six times. This year's festival will heavily promote new tourism products and new tourism routes to help bolster local economic growth.

The festival will be held from May 31 to June 1.
