PARIS, May 17 (Xinhua) -- Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) has become one of Europe's fastest-growing football clubs, also among those growing fastest in indicators such as brand value and popularity in Brand Finance's annual report, the club revealed on Friday.
In the Brand Finance's latest annual report, PSG has climbed up to the eighth place on rankings of the most valuable football brands, moving up one place on last season thanks to a 21.3 percent increase in its brand value, the second-highest increase in the top 10.
The Ligue 1 champions has climbed 30 places and seen its brand value grow 14-fold since its entry into the ranking in 2012.
The report highlighted the club's "innovative approach to marketing that has included link-ups with stars from the music and E-Sports industry".
Ligue 1 registered an overall growth in brand value of 38.2 percent in 2019, more than any of other leagues in Europe's top five.
PSG said that prospects also look bright thanks to its new partnership with the Accor Live Limitless loyalty program, which will take over as its new shirt sponsor on July 1, and ongoing negotiations with other partners.
