KAMPALA, May 19 (Xinhua) -- Two bodies have been retrieved and 13 to 15 other people are missing after a boat they were traveling in capsized on Lake Albert in Hoima district, western Uganda, on Sunday evening, the police said.
The accident occurred a few meters away from the Runga landing site on the lake shared with eastern Democratic Republic of the Congo, and 32 other people who were on the boat managed to swim to the shore, Fred Enanga, Uganda's police spokesperson, told Xinhua by telephone.
Enanga said the boat was swept up by strong winds and was capsized.
The search will continue on Monday, said the spokesperson, adding that police and military marines units have been deployed to carry out the search and rescue operation.
