BEIRUT, May 22 (Xinhua) -- Lebanon and Belarus signed an agreement on Wednesday to boost industrial cooperation between the two countries, the National News Agency reported.
"This is the first step for adopting a framework of cooperation between Lebanon and Belarus by increasing exchange on the industrial level between the two countries," Lebanon's industry minister was quoted as saying during the ceremony that was held to sign this agreement.
Abou Faour added that Lebanese businessmen will visit Belarus and attend exhibitions in the country to identify the extent to which Lebanon's industrial sector can cater to this new market.
Meanwhile, Ambassador of Belarus in Lebanon Yury Sluka emphasized the importance of this agreement which will increase cooperation between businessmen in the two countries.
