TORONTO, May 24 (Xinhua) -- A concert featuring Chinese folk music will hit the stage Saturday in Toronto to mark the 70th founding anniversary of the People's Republic of China and the 20th anniversary of Macao's return to China.

The concert, scheduled for Saturday evening in Toronto, features Chinese classical to modern compositions performed on traditional Chinese instruments with western instrument in various settings from solo, small ensembles to the entire full orchestra.

A number of well-known musicians and singers from across China will perform practically different types of Chinese musical instrument and classical Chinese songs.

The concert is organized by the Canadian Association of Transnational Cultures and Arts and an association of friends of Macao arts and culture in Toronto.
