WASHINGTON, May 28 (Xinhua) -- Two separate mass shootings during the Memorial Day holiday killed one and injured 15 others in Trenton, the capital city of eastern U.S. state New Jersey, the local authorities said Tuesday.
A 18-year-old man, identified as Unique Anderson, died from multiple gunshot wounds after the second gunfire erupted just before 11:30 p.m. Monday in Trenton, the Mercer County Prosecutor's Office said in a statement.
Four men ranging from 18 to 22 years old and a 20-year-old woman were treated for gunshot wounds, investigators said.
Early on Saturday, ten people were injured when two men fired about 30 shots from a car outside a bar in Trenton, according to local media reports.
The Monday shooting occurred about a mile from Saturday's crime scene. Prosecutors said there is no information connecting the two shootings.
Both shootings remained under investigation.
