TALLINN, May 30 (Xinhua) -- Estonian President Kersti Kaljulaid on Thursday met with Princess Anne, the Princess Royal of Britain, to discuss issues of security, technology, digitalization, and development aid among others.
Kaljulaid spoke highly of the close relations between Estonia and Britain, including in the areas of military cooperation, as well as the Britain-led NATO Enhanced Forward Presence battle group at the Tapa army base in northern Estonia.
As Royal Colonel-in-Chief of the King's Royal Hussars, the Princess Royal was scheduled to visit the regiment stationed in Tapa as a part of the North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO) battle group in Estonia.
The NATO Enhanced Forward Presence battle group in Estonia currently comprises also of troops from Denmark and Belgium, integrating with the 1st Infantry Brigade of the Estonian Defence Forces.
The Princess Royal is involved with over 300 charities, organizations and military regiments in Britain and overseas.
