GUANGZHOU, May 30 (Xinhua) -- South China's Guangdong Province saw trade with Latin American countries rise 10.3 percent year-on-year to 92.18 billion yuan (13.36 billion U.S. dollars) in the first four months of 2019.
According to Guangzhou Customs, the province's export volume with Latin American countries went up 6.9 percent to 64.51 billion yuan, and the import volume grew 19.2 percent to 27.67 billion yuan from January to April this year.
More than 70 percent of exports were mechanical and electronical products, whose volume reached 48.42 billion yuan, up 7.8 percent.
Import and export volume with Mexico, Brazil and Chile, grew 22.9 percent to 30.76 billion yuan, 11 percent to 19.99 billion yuan and 11.2 percent to 14.88 billion yuan respectively over the same period.
