GUANGZHOU, May 31 (Xinhua) -- Chinese police have arrested 27 drug suspects and seized about 251 kg of drugs in a major bust, Guangdong provincial public security department said Friday.
In August 2018, police in Guangdong received a tip about a gang trafficking drugs from Cambodia to the southwestern border province of Yunnan and selling them in Guangdong.
On May 10, police from Guangdong, Yunnan and Hunan launched a joint raid that led to the arrest of the gang. They also seized two guns and nine vehicles used for transporting drugs.
From January to May, police in Guangdong have cracked 3,400 drug-related cases and arrested 4,300 suspects.
