Members of bird guard team set up fences to protect swallow nests in Halata Village of Melmeg Mongolian Township in Zhenlai County, northeast China's Jilin Province, June 4, 2019. Zhenlai County is an important stopover on the migratory routes of East Asian migratory birds. Recently, people of Melmeg Mongolian Township found many signs of birds' activity. According to wildlife conservation experts, this is a new breeding site for bank swallows. Preliminary statistics show that there are more than 400 nests and nearly 1,000 bank swallows.
