Ricky Heng (L, back) chats with tea friends at his teahouse in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, May 24, 2019. Ricky Heng, 51, is a tea master from Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. He used to be a photojournalist, often carrying 6 or 7 kilograms of equipment to do 4 or 5 works every day. What Ricky Heng did not expect is that his life has been completely changed because of the Chinese tea. After starting to drink Chinese tea, Ricky Heng's life slowed down gradually. When he drinks tea, he says, he enters a state of tea meditation, a state that makes people settle down, feeling less trouble, but more wisdom. Nowadays, Ricky Heng is no longer a full-time photojournalist as he turns to devote himself to the promotion of tea culture, while his love for photography has not stopped. He often takes photos while drinking tea, and then posts his pictures and tea tasting tips on social media to share with tea lovers. Many people read his posts and came to talk to him about Chinese tea and tea culture. He also made many like-minded friends because of tea. According to Ricky Heng, tea culture is healthy and positive energy, composing by the attitude of modesty, equality, sharing and tolerance. With such a state of mind to live, it will change the way we treat people and do things. Ricky Heng said he was very happy to be a messenger of the tea culture, because tea let him find who he is, and he has no regrets in this life. (Xinhua/Chong Voon Chung)
