BEIJING, June 14 (Xinhua) -- A domestic crime film focusing on China's legal medical experts hit the Chinese mainland screens Friday, calling for more understanding and respect from the public for the occupation.
Entitled "Whisper of Silent Body," the film tells a story of a coroner who traces old murder cases and manages to find out the real murderer based on clues that he accidentally obtains in an autopsy.
The film was adapted from the novel "Voice of the Death" by Qin Ming, a legal physician as well as an online novelist in China. Inspired by his own work experience, Qin has written a novel franchise on legal medical experts, many of which have been adapted into TV series.
Every legal medical expert in China has stories that could be processed into a dramatic film, though they have long been hardly known to the public, Qin said at the premiere Thursday.
It is expected that the film will help more people know about, understand and respect medical professionals, he said.
