MUSCAT, June 18 (Xinhua) -- Oman's Royal Opera House in Muscat on Tuesday announced its new 2019/2020 season, which will feature more than 100 international opera, ballet and Jazz shows.
National Ballet of China will perform Pyotr Tchaikovsky's Nutcracker, merging Chinese and Western cultures, said Kamel bin Fahad Al Said, a member of the board of the Royal Opera House.
Al Said said that some 40,000 tickets had been sold during last season.
Essam al-Mallah, a professor and an advisor to the Royal Opera House board, said in a statement to Xinhua that Chinese troupes have active participation every season, praising last season's performance from the Shijiazhuang troupe.
One of the most popular and dazzling Chinese shows in Oman is the Golden Dragon Acrobatics, which closed the Royal Opera House's 2015/2016 season.
