BEIJING, June 24 (Xinhua) -- "Spirited Away," the 2001 Japanese animated film written and directed by Hayao Miyazaki, continued to top the Chinese mainland box office Sunday, China Movie Data Information Network said Monday.
The Oscar-winning film grossed over 62.35 million yuan (about 9.08 million U.S. dollars), accounting for 40.6 percent of the daily total.
The fourth installation of Pixar and Disney's long-running "Toy Story" series stayed second, raking in about 33.68 million yuan on its third day at the box office.
"Men in Black: International" ranked third with a daily box office of 13 million yuan.
"Spirited Away" earned a total box office of 192 million yuan since its June 21 debut on the Chinese mainland.
