CHANGSHA, July 1 (Xinhua) -- The second international tour of Tianmen Mountain cycling race kicked off Saturday in central China's Hunan Province, according to the organizing committee.
The race was a part of a series of bike races held in the mountain, which attracted 187 bike clubs and more than 2,000 cyclists from the U.K., Sweden and other countries.
There is the asphalt pavement throughout the 35-kilometer-long race, with medical assistance and supplies.
Tianmen Mountain is in Zhangjiajie, which is a UNESCO world heritage site known for its forest parks and Wulingyuan that is famous for more than 3,000 sandstone pillars.
