YANGON, July 18 (Xinhua) -- Myanmar authorities seized a large haul of narcotic drugs worth 200 million kyats (133,333 U.S. dollars) from a house in Myanmar's Yangon region, according to the Central Committee for Drug Abuse Control (CCDAC) on Thursday.
The seizure was made by the joint police force in Tamwe township, Yangon city on Wednesday afternoon.
A total of 33,800 stimulant tablets worth 84.5 million kyats (56,333 U.S. dollars) were confiscated from a house in the township, along with 120 grams of heroin worth 12 million kyats (8,000 U.S. dollars).
The seized drugs also include 1.34 kg of crystal methamphetamine (ICE) worth 107.2 million kyats (71,467 U.S. dollars), 290 grams of marijuana and 3,600 Tramadol capsules, respectively.
The police have filed a case against a suspect under the country's Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Law.
