HANOI, July 21 (Xinhua) -- China swept the Democratic People's Republic of Korea (DPRK) 3-0 in the final of the third Asian Women's U23 Volleyball Championship here on Sunday.
Beating the DPRK 25-16, 25-19 and 25-18 in one hour and 25 minutes, China made a seven-match winning streak at the nine-day championship which wrapped up on Sunday in Vietnam's capital Hanoi.
En route to the final, China crushed Vietnam 3-1, steamrolled Thailand, China's SAR Hong Kong, New Zealand, India and Chinese Taipei with identical score of 3-0.
Also on Sunday, Vietnam downed Thailand 3-1 (14-25, 25-22, 25-21, 25-14) in one hour and 45 minutes to place third at the championship which featured 13 countries and regions.
China won the first Asian Women's U23 Volleyball Championship in the Philippines in 2015, with Japan taking the second edition in 2017 in Thailand. Enditem
