KIEV, July 30 (Xinhua) -- A Boeing 767 of Ukraine International Airlines returned here shortly after taking off on Monday evening as one of the engines was probably hit by birds, Ukrinform news agency reported Tuesday.
The plane, en-route from Kiev to Bangkok, the capital city of Thailand, made an unplanned landing at the departure airport 20 minutes after it took off.
"While the aircraft was gaining altitude, the crew noticed a dramatic change in the parameters of one of the engines, presumably hit by a bird," it reported.
None of the passengers and crew members was injured. Passengers continued their flight with another aircraft at Tuesday midnight.
