WASHINGTON, July 31 (Xinhua) -- The White House said Wednesday U.S. President Donald Trump and his wife Melania will visit Poland and Denmark from August 31 to September 3.
The couple will attend commemorative ceremonies and visit memorial sites in Warsaw on Sept. 1 to commemorate the 80th anniversary of the beginning of World War II, and Trump will participate in a series of bilateral and business meetings in Denmark at the invitation of the Danish Queen Margrethe II, according to the statement.
The visits "will highlight the historic ties between the United States, Poland, and Denmark," the statement said.
The trip will mark the second time Trump visits Poland as the U.S. president. Trump visited Poland in July 2017, and hosted his Polish counterpart at the White House in September 2018 and June this year.
"We have a very good relationship with Poland," Trump told reporters at the White House Tuesday.
