BEIJING, Sept. 13 (Xinhua) -- "Japan Day," showcasing the special charm of Japanese gardening culture and lifestyle, was observed at the ongoing International Horticultural Exhibition in Beijing.
The event, with promotions of the World Expo 2025 in Osaka, ikebana performances and ikebana competitions, kicked off on Thursday and will last for three days.
The Exhibition Garden of Japan, which consists of a courtyard and an exhibition hall, displays the country's colorful and profound horticultural culture and modern lifestyle, with rocks, plants, springs and waterfalls in the garden.
The exhibition hall, themed "Facing the sea, seasonal flowers," is in the form of a tea room. With flowers from different seasons, the exhibition hall presents the Japanese flower culture that integrates nature into life.
The Beijing horticultural expo, themed "Live Green, Live Better," is the world's largest expo of its kind. It opened to the public on April 29 in Yanqing District and will last until Oct. 7.
