YAOUNDE, Sept. 16 (Xinhua) -- A photo exhibition marking the 70th anniversary of the founding of the People's Republic of China opened here on Monday.
At the opening ceremony at the Confucius Institute of Cameroon, Chinese ambassador to Cameroon Wang Yingwu said the exhibition aims to show a complete, authentic and multidimensional portrait of China to the Cameroonian audience.
Wilfred Gabsa Nyongbet, secretary general of the Cameroonian Ministry of Higher Education, said China's path of development motivates young Cameroonians in their quest for national development.
"The photo exhibition ... serves as an inspiration for the (Cameroonian) youth with regards to the concepts of patriotism, unity, and peace," Nyongbet said.
"When I look at these photos, I see a country that has witnessed sorrowful, happy and great moments ... After 70 years, China has developed so much and is now the dream destination of every young Cameroonian," Oscarine Mballa, a student at the Confucius Institute, told Xinhua.
