GUANGZHOU, Sept. 19 (Xinhua) -- Customs of Guangzhou, capital of south China's Guangdong Province, destroyed a total of 312 kg of drugs which were seized in recent years.
The activity was held in Nansha District on Wednesday, with all the drugs poured into a high-temperature incinerator.
The smuggled drugs included heroin, cocaine, methamphetamine, marijuana and catha edulis (khat), which were found in consignments, luggage and postal parcels, according to Guangzhou Customs.
Guangzhou Customs disclosed Wednesday that from January to August this year they have busted over 38 drug cases, captured 15 suspects and seized 17.3 kg of drugs.
