BEIJING, Oct. 9 (Xinhua) -- "Le Nozze di Figaro," a four-act comic opera composed by Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart, will hit the stage of the National Center for the Performing Arts (NCPA) from Nov. 24 to 30 in Beijing, the NCPA said.
The NCPA-produced opera made its debut in 2013 and won wide popularity with audiences.
Featuring an Italian libretto written by Lerenzo Da Ponte, "Le Nozze di Figaro," or "The Marriage of Figaro," premiered at the Burgtheater in Vienna in 1786.
It tells of a farce that takes place when Count Almaviva, a womanizer, aggressively pursues Susanna, the fiancee of his butler Figaro, and makes repeated attempts to break up the relationship of the couple.
