CHENGDU, Nov. 2 (Xinhua) -- The 3rd China International Festival of Famous Liquors is scheduled to be held from Dec. 15 to 20 in the city of Yibin, southwest China's Sichuan Province.
Hosted by China Alcoholic Drinks Association (CADA), the event is expected to receive more than 1,000 brands from over 100 well-known liquor companies and distilleries in China, including Wuliangye and Kweichow Moutai, and more than 60 overseas liquor makers.
London-based premium spirits maker Diageo and other famous liquor companies will be invited to attend the International Wine & Spirits Alliance summit concurrently held during the festival, with pro bono initiatives on environmental protection, cultural preservation and responsible drinking to be released.
Wang Yancai, chairman of CADA, said the festival has built a platform to promote exchanges, which will help the Chinese liquor market and wine culture go global.
Launched in 2017, the event is held every December in Yibin, a major liquor producing region in the country and home to Chinese top liquor brand Wuliangye.
