TOKYO, June 11 (Xinhua) -- Tokyo stocks advanced slightly Monday morning as investor moves remained cautious ahead of the historic summit between the leaders of the U.S. and the Democratic People's Republic of Korea (DPRK).
The 225-issue Nikkei Stock Average gained 68.44 points, or 0.30 percent, from Friday to 22,762.94.
The broader Topix index of all First Section issues on the Tokyo Stock Exchange, meanwhile, added 4.36 points, or 0.24 percent, to 1,785.80.
Oil and coal product, retail, and fishery, agriculture and forestry-linked issues comprised those that gained the most by the morning break.
