BEIJING, Oct. 20 (Xinhua) -- China's national observatory said Saturday that a cold front will sweep across northern regions over the next few days, bringing strong wind and temperature drops.
From Saturday to Tuesday, the cold front will cause temperature to drop 4 to 6 degrees Celsius in a vast part of north China, the National Meteorological Center (NMC) said.
In some areas, temperature will drop by more than 8 degrees Celsius, it added.
Snow will hit parts of Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region from Saturday to Monday. Sandy or dusty weather will be seen in parts of Xinjiang, Inner Mongolia and Gansu on Sunday and Monday.
The NMC said attention should be paid to the impact of snow in the northern part of Xinjiang on transportation and agriculture.
