TASHKENT, Oct. 23 (Xinhua) -- Four people were killed Monday in a road accident after a car lost control and collided head-on with another in southwestern Uzbekistan, the country's Ministry of Emergency Situations said Tuesday.

The accident took place around 12 a.m. local time (0700 GMT) on Monday in Bukhara region, and four people died on the spot.

An investigation into the accident is underway.
