BOGOTA, April 8 (Xinhua) -- Colombia and Peru will meet in an international friendly in June as both sides finalize their preparations for the Copa America.
The match will be played at the Monumental Stadium in Lima on June 9, five days before the world's oldest international football tournament kicks off in Brazil, the Colombian Football Federation said on Monday.
Peru and Colombia last met in October 2017 when they drew their World Cup qualifier in Lima 1-1.
Peru will also host Costa Rica on June 5 while Colombia will meet Panama in Bogota on June 3.
The Copa America will be played in five Brazilian cities from June 14 to July 7.
Colombia have been drawn in Group B alongside Argentina, Paraguay and Qatar while Peru are in Group A with Brazil, Bolivia and Venezuela.
